the problem with this is that most cases of paedophilia occur within the family. Predatory paedophiles, the sort that we hear about in the news all too often, are not as common. There is little the law can do about this kind of repetitive paedophilia within families, that is often 'passed' down from generation to generation, with the abused becoming abusers in turn. A good friend of mine, his mother works in social services concentrating on sexual abuse within the family. She has 2 case workers to deal with over 100 cases. More funding to this area might be a good start.
