No..but putting the feature there in the first place strikes me as anal.

You can always scopy your pilot off to an external memory card, and then
copy him back....
But to me it's pretty pointless to add it. 

They should have spent more time putting in missions.. *grin*

If they added this as a separate difficulty level then fine, but as the
default for the game I think they just slashed a HUGE portion of their
market. I refuse to play a game for a month and then lose ALL my
progress because I may have had an off day at the office.

It ain't real life...it's a game.
