: I am very afraid of math. I was originally going to be an
: anesthesiologist, but didnt want to take the math courses.

I like math. Math is fun for me. I know, I'm a freak. But it did get me a
5 on my AP Calc test and college credit. Better than that, I got a 4 on the
AP Physics test despite the fact that my HS didn't offer AP Physics.

I would have take more math in college, but I didn't pay enough attention in
Calc 2 (I knew too much of it going in, and got out of the habit of
listening to the prof) and didn't want to either a) retake it or b) try to
muddle my way through without the grounding I needed.

Discrete Math was very interesting, though. Very helpful for CS stuff.

Hmm. I'm starting to see why you are scared. :-)

: So I became a history major and now a webmaster... tee hee

My bosses majored in photojournalism with a French Lit minor and Russian
Literature. Am I the only one in this industry who majored in CS? And I
didn't even finish. Heh.

: Actually, I was ok with the name, sense of humor, and pic. It was the
: Chewbacca that made me choke onmy bagel.

The Pez dispenser or the fact that I have a 6-foot cardboard Chewy in my
living room? Movie theatre displays are cool.

:I guess I can't forget what I never took. I only went to Algebra 2 and
:then I was on to better things, like an extra PE period and
:photojournalism. Oh yeah, and I ended up being a sophomore in college
:my senior year in high school because I took college courses at the
:local magnet center.

I managed to take both BW & color photography classes in HS, as well as a
bunch of other tech stuff including robotics. I ended up being the network
admin, as well as tech support for all the teachers who somehow managed to
figure out how to change a static IP on their machines without figuring out
that they shouldn't.

I started college with 16 hours -- one semester -- in credits from AP
classes.

:Math frightens me, but I do like the fact that there is ALWAYS a right
:answer.

Sometimes more than one. But they are equivalent. You just have to prove
it. :-)

Okay, yeah. I'm a geek thru and thru. Heck, I even spell through wrong.
But hey, it could be worse. And someday I'll figure out how.
