That's actually one of the reasons I love my wife's car (a '98 Chevy 
Malibu).  That sucker will go through anything - we get flooding at 
least twice a year here and that car will run with it's hood under water 
(and has had to at least a few times). 

Jim, I find that hard to believe.  With combustion engines they have to have a source 
of air, otherwise they will stop running.  Hence, the reason Hummers have snorkels.
