Hmm. I see.

I am no doctor, but your roots have a big impact on who you are
sometimes.

My daughter is exactly I was as a kid in some ways, I mean its scary how
much she is like me. When she thinks she is right, she has an absolute
belief she is right and will go to great lengths to prove it. As a kid,
I would go berserk if someone told me I was wrong when I knew I was
right, even if they were only kidding.

Seeing identical traits in someone else is hard to miss. If your wife
really feels this is something she has seen before, I would ask her to
elaborate and make up your own mind about whether or not it makes sense
to you.

I can't tell you what to do, but, if it were my kid, I would do
everything in my power to get him to understand his nature and make it
work to his advantage. Obviously, tearing up books and messing around on
the bus are not good things to do, but maybe (with some effort) he can
recognize this put his efforts into something more acceptable. Or at
least not noticeable - some of the problem children I grew up with
learned to be cruel behind the scenes and went on to be very successful
in the police, construction, and the military.

But this sounds like a legitimate problem, and one that deserves your
attention.

A long list, from not wearing his seatbelt on the bus, running
around
the moving bus, not listening to his bus driver, tore up a book
in the
library and claimed not to know who did it, not listening to his

teacher, becoming aggressive and pushing kids, etc....

It is not like him, not at home at least. First kid driving my
nuts! lol
