But you've got to be reasonable

We got 2 27" TVs (4x3 models) for about $280 a piece, how are they meant
to make them cheaper than that?

Sure, you can spend LOADS more if you want to, but saying that ALL TVs
should be cheaperer is too sweeping when you can find decent prices on
decent machines if you look

We COULD have spent $3000 on a TV that you can buy the equivalent of
$1800, but we didn't want to over-spend, so we spent $1400 on a $2000+
TV

Buying new technology as soon as it comes out is pretty daft too, as
it's ALWAYS going to be expensive... So buying Plasma is getting
cheaper, but it's not REALLY cheap yet - and buying brant new
technologies like DLP when it's only just come out is pretty mad unless
you can afford it

You CAN find the TVs cheap if you're willing to look, but most people
aren't
