the cd could definitely slow down your gaming experience, does the game
give you the option to install the full game to your hard drive? That
could improve performance.
That video card isn't bad for the price. Does your machine have an AGP
slot? I would maybe try to find an AGP based video card if you can find
one in your price range.

I have to use the CD. HMMMMM maybe i should try using the burner drive
instead of the factory ROM drive.
What are your thoughts on this Video Card

I don't think it would be DirectX. Do you have to use the cd when you
play the game or does it run off of your hard drive?

P2 400 MHz
8MB Video Card (mine is 32) DirectX 8.i compatible
Sound Card DirectX 7.i compatible
700 MB available HD space (I have a 40 GIGGER)
96 MB of system memory
It requires DirectX 8.1 and Quicktime 5.i (I have QT 6.1)
Could DirectX be causing it?

Well. You could buy a new video card as well. But even with that if you
don't have enough memory the game isn't going to run that well. I can't
imagine a Law and order game being that processor intensive. What are
the recommended hardware requirements?

So, to top off my addiction to Law and Order, I bought the game this
weekend. My computer is a 1.4 GHZ with around 400 MB of RAM (RDRAM..
damn you Dell).
Anyway, when I load up the game, the scenes look grainy and the mouse is
slow to respond. My Video card is an NVida.
Am I just ignorant of the whole process or is there something wrong or
is my computer incapable? Anything I can do to make the repsonse faster?
(Short of buying more RAM.... RDRAM is ridiculously expensive these
days.)
