I was lucky enough to keep my job with CFX by telecommuting. Also, I
don't think you would be able to bring in all of your belongings until
your paperwork is complete. I've heard countless stories of people
showing up with Uhauls and being told to turn around.

We've been considering moving back to Canada, but that has been one
drawback
to the issue, while I would have no problems, Wendy could not work for
quite
a while.

It's a fairly typical rule. The US has similar laws as does the EU and
almost every other country.
