Yeah, when the story first broke, there was a lot of speculation that it
was an April Fool's prank (since Google's fairly well known for putting
out pranks each Apr 01).  However, they do have a job offer on their
moon base, which I assume is this year's Apr 1 joke.

Now, that could just be a red herring to make us think the gig of mail
space *isn't* the joke...but I tend to believe the mail thing is true.
Storage space is (relatively) cheap...and their ROI is being able to
target advertising at a likely buyer.  Using that model, the more
storage space a person has, the more likely you are to serve up a
relevant ad.

Makes sense to me (which of course means absolutely NOTHING)  :)
