No offense taken. I'm just looking for ways to get money to people who would be
providing information of community use (trust me, it's a specific needed
resource). One way is to make it known that the particular information is
sponsored by company X and that company X is looking out for the ColdFusion
community.
The idea came up while talking to a hosting company who wanted to advertise, but
found that the traditional banner ads just don't work as well. They give lots of
exposure, but few clicks.
So bottom line is that you'd be interested in a company that sponsored something
of use to the community, but would not give more preference to a hosting company
if they were the sponsor. Would that be correct? If so, what could a hosting
company do that would raise your interest in them?
