Hi Everyone!!
I didn't much bother with checking out Joe's site before as it seemed
irrelevent to me when someone bashes someone else. I think the statement
about it making people laugh and at least that made it worth something was
just plain ignorant. This guy never even gave a suggestion as to what he
thought was so bad.
I went to look at this site to see how "horrible" it was and didn't see
much. It seems that Joe has a small fairly plain site which he could expand
on and add to, but I can be the first experienced person in this forum that
will say that when you are working your ass off, the last thing you have
time for is to work on your own site. And before anyone starts telling me
that it is important....I know this as well, HOWEVER, when you have a client
and work to do, usually the client wants their work done yesterday so that
takes priority. Currently I don't even have a site because I was so unhappy
with mine and decided to update and improve it.....that was a good 6 months
ago. It is very hard sometimes to find the needed time to work on our own
sites when we are working on everyone else's and all of you who go around
bashing others sites and judging them solely on their personal site are
missing a lot of opportunities to work with people who are in fact very
experienced and good at what they do.
Don't sweat the ignorant people, Joe!! If you are experienced and do good
work, it's their loss! And especially if they go around bashing people for
things they usually can't do themselves or are insecure about their own
selves! Too many people sweat the small stuff and never see the big
picture.....look at the guy griping about someone putting a space between
ColdFusion! Ggggeeeeessssshhhh....get a life!
Another Independant Contractor,
Kimberly
