Our mail server now requires authentication, which breaks CFMAIL any time
the target address is outside our domain. I found one custom tag
(CFX_AuthSMTP) which solves this problem. Unfortunately it's rather basic
and doesn't support attachments. The tag actually uses JavaMail which
according to Sun docs handles attachments with something called BodyPart. So
now I'm wondering if there is some way I can revise this custom tag (it's
not encrypted) to tap into the capability of JavaMail to send attachments.
The tag includes two files; file name extensions are class and java. The
.java file will open in CF Studio but as nearly as I can tell it's just
using ColdFusion to pass variables to JavaMail. (The tag author doesn't
appear to have a web site, and his help docs are brief. I'm trying to reach
him.) Any tips?
