That's assinine. If they provide a workaround for their customers, why not
just build it in to their system and officially allow multiple domains?

I took 'cheating' to be just a turn of phrase.  At least for my hosting
provider which has the same multi-DNS domain restriction, the discussed
switch code is their recommended solution and is published on their own FAQ
page.
