Not to knock your suggestion, Carl, but I'd be surprised if the null pointer errors Claude raised would lead to hs_err files. Those (from my experience) show up only when the JVM crashes (due to the hostpsot compiler, specifically).
It will be interesting if they show more in the runtime logs, so that's a good call of course. It may be worth adding for Claude that if he's running the Multiserver version of CF, those logs (which are so valuable for many problems) are instead in the [jrun]\logs directory. BTW, Carl, how did your user group talk go? There was some brief discussion here on the list. I'm sure some others here would also be interested to hear any kind of summary. :-) Or did you guys record it, perhaps? (To be clear, I am indeed writing this on-list, not off-list.) /charlie > -----Original Message----- > From: cfaussie@googlegroups.com [mailto:cfaus...@googlegroups.com] On Behalf > Of > Carl > Sent: Monday, November 01, 2010 9:39 PM > To: cfaussie > Subject: [cfaussie] Re: CF9 Administrator Page Showing Error > > Hi Claude, > > Is this a new CF9 installation or existing and till now has been > working?
