I guess my personal preference comes from my experiences as a C/C++
programmer (i++ and the like). I know people that find this very
cryptic and don't like it. I find that cluttering up the SQL with a
heap of repeated long table names it messes the code up. If you can't
remember an alias, you never have that far to look to find it (usually
in the same block of code).
