Sure enough, 14th January has arrived and when I launched Chandler Desktop
this evening, it did something other than the norm.

I noted the start dialogue doing something with records (took not too much
notice, I had Safari in foreground at the time).

Now, past 23:00 14th January, I find:

* Chandler Desktop running with its Chandler window at a smaller than usual
size (presumably, the OOTB size)

* 'Welcome to Chandler' triaged to now, scheduled for earlier today
(12:00—13:00)

* binary_backup.tgz created at 22:22, modified 22:23, 42 MB

* backup.chex created at 14:31, modified 14:32, 10.4 MB.

Considering the log extract pasted to <http://pastebin.ca/1308521>, the
creation/modified times of the files do fit the guesswork; I quit from
Chandler Desktop normally around 14:32:

> 13079 items

then the next launch of the application caused it to import from
backup.chex:
