OK now, so I'm getting annoyed. Maybe it's irrational, but when I've
spent the time and effort typing in actions into Chandler, I'd like them
to stay there.

I'm using Chandler 1.0.2 on Linux.

I have a real problem with the delete functionality. Let me explain.
Maybe I'm doing something utterly wrong - maybe it's a bug on the Linux
version - maybe it just doesn't work in the way that I think a 'normal'
person would expect.

I create an item and type some data.
I see that I made a spelling mistake that I want to correct, or I want
to add more info etc.
I move the cursor to the right spot in the title of the action (and I'm
talking about putting the cursor in the top section of the middle panel
- between the Sync button and the Clean Up button)
I press delete (presuming that I'm going to delete the character to the
right of the cursor)
It doesn't.

What it does do is delete the currently highlighted action item in the
list (either in the current collection or the dashboard)

It does NOT put this item in the TRASH. It just erases it from the system.

As such, I have now deleted an action item, which I am unable to
recover. I have no idea exactly which action item I have deleted. And
I have no way of finding out, until my boss yells at me for dropping a
ball on something...

And all this because I wanted to correct a typo.

It's really starting to annoy me. Please tell me that this is a known
issue and will be fixed in the next release. Because if it doesn't get
sorted then it's really gonna annoy me to carry on like this. I can't
keep on losing random actions and not be able to recover them.

I wouldn't mind the quirkiness of it all if I was only able to recover
the accidentally deleted items - but they are most certainly not there.

Someone please tell me that I'm not going mad.

Thanks,

Mark.
