What I previously saw as a subtle dividing line in iCal — http://n2.nabble.com/file/n2519377/iCal-wall.png
— between calendar, and list of To Do Items, I now see as a brick wall between left and right. Working in iCal with any type of calendar (personal, CalDAV or subscription): * a drag from left to right is accompanied by the green plus sign cursor, a hint that the item will be duplicated * a drag from right to left gains no such hint; the item is duplicated without warning * in both cases there is no move. In greater detail: a) an item listed by iCal 3.0.6 (1273) as a To Do Item will never be seen in the calendar of iCal b) in Chandler Hub the item may be added to calendar, renamed, marked as done etc.; but iCal will fail to show all edition for as long as the item remains in the calendar of Chandler Hub c) if in Chandler Hub the item is removed from calendar, then (finally) iCal will show the edition. Vice versa: d) an item tabled by iCal 3.0.6 (1273) as an event will never be listed as a To Do Item in iCal e) in Chandler Hub the item may be removed from calendar, renamed etc.; but iCal will fail to show all edition for as long as the item remains beyond the calendar of Chandler Hub f) if in Chandler Hub the item is added back to calendar, then (finally) iCal will show the edition. In situations (b) and (d) when Apple iCal loses track of changes, the user is not warned; to me, this is as bad as data loss. Also: * iCal 3.0.6 (1273) misrepresents itself as 3.0.5 in the Info window of Finder. Comparing Apple iCal with Mozilla Sunbird/Lightning: * in Sunbird, there is no drag from left to right, or vice versa * Sunbird does respectfully show changes that are made to Chandler Hub. For faithful representation of what's served by Chandler Hub: I find that Sunbird is currently superior to iCal.
