Ah, it may be out of print. Its basically about a rather childlike woman who keeps a trunk in the attic with mementoes of her explorer father, and a lot of fantastic stories that her sensible husband does not believe. Then there's the clouds of moths that resemble no known species, and the phantom chauffer. The husband decides to see a therapist about his marital difficullties, and she suggests that he must open the trunk and find out the truth behind his wife's strange history....
It is quite a shocking and disturbing book. Not quite like any other horror novel I've ever read. Anyway, if its no longer available, guess I've piqued your interest for nothing. Maybe someone else on this list may have read it.
