I had good luck with DOSBox on Vista Home Premium
(http://dosbox.sourceforge.net). I was able to run APLI386 under it just fine.

It is interesting that Vista does not support Dos anymore.
I guess a lot of programs will have problem running under Vista.
The majority of all Windows programs are really Dos programs.
I guess this fact will move a lot of people over to Linux.
