Jeff.....BTW......The installation sheet for my Edelbrock Q-Jets says to
hand tighten down the mounting bolts with a box wrench and to be careful
because over tightening will break the base of the carb!!

Also on this sheet it calls the vacuum port you circled on the side of the
carb below the choke assembley a " diverter port " ?? don't know what that
is but my other info shows it going to the air cleaner ........none the less
mine is blocked off and the carb works great.
