You are correct Auburn can't be rebuilt is uses cones not clutch discs.

Eaton can be rebuilt but uses clutches. I went with the auburn the shop that
put mine together
said that all he has ever used and never had a problem with one. Either one
is a good choice

If anyone needs an Eaton posi I have a 10 bolt 8.5 brand new in box with new
bearing kit.
