Krister, I saw 3 67 Chevelles in a ~Restored~ class at the ACES/MidAmerica Chevelle show in August and noticed all three had different radiator cap locations. (Pictures at http://www.team67.com/information/oddities.htm ) The link below is the discussion of that observation on Team Chevelle and you may find it interesting. According to 66 MYSTERY CHEVELLE, the 67 is correct for center and right side placement of the cap, the 66 is correct for right side only (talking SS here).

My filler is on the left hand side and in the center WAS the finger tip guard that I've been looking all over for. I called a radiator shop today regarding getting my Harrison re-cored and he said what I have is from a Pontiac GTO and Chevelle's only had the filler in the center. I have seen some meticulous '66 Chevelle restorations and their Harrisons are left hand filler. Can anyone confirm?
