its all hooked up and sounding good(as good as a 36 old
 year am radio can)looks great .yes it is the correct model

The positive lead goes to the positive terminal on the
radio, you can use an aligator clip jumper if you have
to, and the neg lead can go to the body of the radio,
are you sure you even have the correct radio for your
car? it should be Delco model number 986528

Jason,
facing the radio on the right hand side, to the
back,
should be a terminal/lug type affair with a screw
attched to the case, this is for the ground. If I
were
you I would bench test the radio befor you install
it.
use a 12v power supply/battery/battery charger,
and an
old speaker, but bottom line is you can ground
directly to the radio case to the dash.
