Check your shifter seal. Mine "sweats" ever so slightly and it runs down to
the lip of the pan. A couple days after I clean everything it looks like the
pan gasket is leaking again.

Well, for the first time since purchase, I finally drove my El Camino today.
Granted, it was just a couple of laps around my friend Jack's back yard, but
it was a great feeling to see the thing move under it's own power for the
first time.

It goes, it stops, it even turns!

There are a couple of gremlins, that maybe you all can help out with:

I have replaced the tranny gasket twice and it still leaks. I used hi-temp
RTV only on the pan side the first time, and on both sides the second time.
What the F does it take to make one of these puppies not leak?

The backup lights come on when the shifter is between park & reverse. They
are off in either of those positions. Is there any adjustment for this?

Thanks,
John Nasta
