I've done just about everything but trying to open any of the site features still causes my computer to lock up. This sucks.

Clint, I am guessing that's not your problem, but to deleted your cache, ....if you are using Internet Explorer, click on TOOLS then INTERNET OPTIONS then look for the "Temporary Internet Files" section. Click the "delete files" button.

If that don't fix your problem, click on START then look for "Windows Update" on the left column somewhere. If it's not there, click on All Programs then look for Windows Update at the top. Download anything you see that are critical updates ( note: some will only let you download the one item at a time, others will let you download other files with them) Also, download anything in the drivers section, and anything in the middle section that you think you might need. Some of them you would never need. Since most chat rooms are java based, I highly recommend you download anything saying "java".

That's a place to start anyway. If that don't do it, check any personal firewall settings, and also check the Security settings very near where you found the temporary files you deleted. It's a separate tab labeled security. Check the java sections, or bring it down a notch and see if that works.

Subject: [Chevelle-list] Need computer help

One of my favorite forums underwent some server upgrades. Now,I cannot access the site without my computer locking up completely.
I was able to access the site on a friend's system so I know the site is up & running. Do I need to refresh/delete my system cache? If so,how do I do that?
Thanks for any help,
Clint Hooper
