I used a "Catalyzed" Epoxy Primer from Auto paint
supply store. In my case, I want the semi-gloss look
that was produced by the factory when they used to use
lacquer paint or primer under the car but it was
poorly done and often did little to stop rust. This
enamel product uses a hardener and makes a nice
finish.
