and..."never less than a year between pregnancy"??? There are so many reasons
to
breed...furthering a certain line based on pedigree, genetics, temperaments,
and
health...all aspects need to be considered. Just to pop out a few "Batches" out
of each female before the age of two makes me extremely concerened. I am so
sorry to disagree with you but your comments and questions Cindy do NOT ring
true of someone who is breeding for the purpose of furthering the breed let
alone someone who has a clue as to why or what they are doing...you seem to me
to be just pumping out puppies...exactly how many females do you have??? I am
sorry to be so rude...I really am...but I just can't keep quiet!
If you could just "see" the results of your poor decisions over the lifetime of
those pups you are putting out there!!! We can argue and disagree about the
outrageous charges that shelters charge for adoptions but I can tell you
this...if people like you were STOPPED they would not exist!!!! Again sorry to
be rude but I just gotta say it!!!! Hugs In Him,
Deanna

I do find that hard to believe considering the question you asked. If you were
an experienced breeder you would not forget one of the most important things.
Not being snarky just skeptical. And really research has proven that it is not
necessary for a dog to have 2 litters before getting spayed, that is the owner
choice.

I do know what I,m doing breeding My dog. I believe in letting her have two
batches of puppies then I get them fixed and her puppy always have there shot
be
for they go to new homes. and I know the home they go to.  I have her mother
and
that how I did her but I never let them breed her first time going in to heat.
and never less then a year between pregnancy.

Very well said Deanna. Every word is so very true.
Why anyone would just stick two dogs together to get one pregnant without
researching the breed, genetics, color mutations, etc. is in my opinion being
irresponsible and non caring.

Hi Cindy,
any male can breed after their testicles have dropped which in some breeds can
be as early as 4 months. IMO your female should stay away from any un-nuetered
male to prevent unwanted pregnancies. But I guess what I don't understand is
why
you would want her "cot" and what exactly that term means to you?? It scares me
to think that in this day and age...with what is happening to the poor
Chihuahua
at this very present time, that you would WANT to bring Chihuahua puppies into
this world without being a breeder that knows EXACTLY what they are doing. I am
certainly not trying to be judgemental here...I LOVE puppies and I am all for
responsible breeding...for a purpose...to further the breed in a positive
way...but just to bring a litter of pups into the world just breaks my heart!!!
Obviously I do not know your situation or have many of the facts at all...but
my
heart is just breaking. I visit our local shelters often...I do a little
volunteer work...and what I see each month makes me cry everytime. The shelters
are over-run with the sweetest, most adorable little Chi's you ever saw...throw
aways...there are not even close to enough adopters out there...they are being
KILLED by the hundreds everyday. Please, please I beg of you...just go visit
one. Walk through and realize how many will be killed...really without one
thought...you may change your mind about just bringing more puppies into the
world. I do not want to offend or criticize you...just maybe get you to think
about something you may not realize. The poor Chihuahua is in GREAT need of
people to stand up and scream out and give them a voice. Please re-think and
really find out what is happening to the breed...it WILL make you sick!!!
 Hugs In Him,
Deanna
