I agree with you. There are rescues out there that actually go out looking
for people they consider back yard or puppy mills and set things in motion
to get the dogs. IMO these people are hoarders and are simply playing God

I can understand why the cost can be so high when you adopt from a rescue.
As I said in an earlier post, they do have a lot of overhead in vet care,
vacinations, neutering/spay, transport, ect. I can understand that. But what
does realy irk me about many breed specific rescues is the way they snatch a
dog up as soon as it hits the shelters without first giveing the "normal"
person the chance to adopt it from the shelter. I truly believe rescue funds
could be much better spent focusing on those dogs who do not have a chance.
Leave the pure-breds in the shelter untill their time is up....giving
someone a chance to adopt at shelter fees. THEN, if time is up and no one
has adopted THEN rescue. JMO Marsha
