I too would love it if Chrome/Chromium had the ability to turn off JavaScript and Flash on a tab-by-tab basis. Even better would be if JavaScript and Flash were turned off by default, but by right-clicking on the web page, you could "Reload current page with JavaScript" That would be my wet dream. :)
But you can do something today about the extraneous nonsense that resides on too many web pages. Go here: https://www.squarefree.com/bookmarklets/zap.html and add the bookmarklets 'Zap' and 'Zap Images' to your Bookmark bar.
