I too would love it if Chrome/Chromium had the ability to turn off
JavaScript and Flash on a tab-by-tab basis.  Even better would be if
JavaScript and Flash were turned off by default, but by right-clicking
on the web page, you could "Reload current page with JavaScript"  That
would be my wet dream. :)

But you can do something today about the extraneous nonsense that
resides on too many web pages.  Go here:
https://www.squarefree.com/bookmarklets/zap.html

and add the bookmarklets 'Zap' and 'Zap Images' to your Bookmark bar.
Then, if you Bookmark bar is displayed, you can simply click on the
appropriate bookmarklet to turn off the distracting items. :)
