I would prefer to display images that have already been downloaded, but not download new images. For example I might go to a site and discover that it has a huge numbers of big pictures, so I disable images (in firefox). I then find that all of the navigation buttons I already downloaded disappear, which not only saves no bandwidth but can also make the site hard to navigate. -- John C.
