i've read just about every response, and some made me laugh so hard. the
ccna tests your memorization of OSI model, and a few very basic ios
commands. requires absolutely no reasoning; nor any real nderstanding on
networks. CCNP is harder, it demands real hands on exp, understanding of all
the IP routing protocols, and then some, it demands that you know how to set
up medium sized networks with the most common technologies. and how to
trouble shoot it all. the CCIE, covers every technology, from decnet to ip,
with some SNA for a little flavor, DRP OSPF BGP EIGRP, ATM LANE, MOBILE IP,
VOIP, name it, its on the CCIE.
so CCNA is your first kiss, CCNP you got to 2 nd base, and CCIE you made it
HOME.
football, would be like 1st and 40 to go, ccnp 2nd and 10. CCIE is a 99 yard
run for a touchdown.
