Hi Suresh,

Ask Your ISP to put an MX entry to route all your mails to Your Exchange
Server IP address. I will Give one Example for u.

Taken from nslookup

[siddiqu@lotus siddiqu]$ nslookup
Default Server:  md2.vsnl.net.in
Address:  202.54.6.20

> set type=mx
> set type=any
>
> amrita.edu
Server:  md2.vsnl.net.in
Address:  202.54.6.20

Non-authoritative answer:
amrita.edu      nameserver = NS.BAYAREA.NET
amrita.edu      nameserver = NS3.BAYAREA.NET
amrita.edu      nameserver = NS4.BAYAREA.NET
amrita.edu
        origin = amrita.edu
        mail addr = hostmaster.amrita.edu
        serial = 1998010102
        refresh = 10800 (3H)
        retry   = 3600 (1H)
        expire  = 604800 (1W)
        minimum ttl = 86400 (1D)
amrita.edu      preference = 10, mail exchanger = mail.amrita.edu
amrita.edu      preference = 20, mail exchanger = mail.BAYAREA.NET
amrita.edu      internet address = 205.219.83.138

Authoritative answers can be found from:
amrita.edu      nameserver = NS.BAYAREA.NET
amrita.edu      nameserver = NS3.BAYAREA.NET
amrita.edu      nameserver = NS4.BAYAREA.NET
NS.BAYAREA.NET  internet address = 204.71.212.2
NS3.BAYAREA.NET internet address = 205.219.84.5
NS4.BAYAREA.NET internet address = 205.219.84.7
mail.amrita.edu internet address = 203.197.154.194
mail.BAYAREA.NET        internet address = 205.219.84.13

Look at the above Example. the domain amrita.edu hosted in bayarea.net
Server in US. and they added one MX record (mail.amrita.edu) to route
all the mails to that server(mail.amrita.edu). That server is located
in some other place. the second record is for backup, if the first one
fails, it will receive the mails and forward to the first one when the
first one is ready. You can add A records to point any server for WWW
and other applications.
