Yes, as far as I can tell.  I may be missing something though.  On my
testbed 3524's, this is what I have set on each one:

interface FastEthernet0/1
 duplex full
 speed 100
 port group 1
 switchport mode trunk
 spanning-tree portfast
!
interface FastEthernet0/2
 duplex full
 speed 100
 port group 1
 switchport mode trunk
 spanning-tree portfast
