Maybe the wifes don't understand just like most of us men don't understand
the toilet seat lid up thingy.
Maybe cause we forget to acknowledge the work the wife performs behind the
scenes as we are miles away in our clouds.
I am sure to a point it becomes a slight form of jealousy as we take way
wife and family time ..
But even tho they may not say much to you . I am sure she brags about it
to her friends.
I overheard a conversation my wife had with one of her friends and it went
something like this..
Oh he works on networks and Cisco stuff and servers..
Cisco that the company that joins all the internet together.. ( maybe you
have to explain in very basic terms what routers do )
Sigh my kitchenette look like a computer store with cables and equipment all
over the place.
Heck no I don't touch anything. his mess his problem..
yes the money is great but sometimes he is never home but I am used to it
know.
it makes him happy and provides for the family so it's good.
he has worked very hard to get where he is so at least it's better than
race cars.
And he has his own money to buy stuff and at least he is home playing rather
than in a garage somewhere or driving all over the place.
the rest was woman talk
So the wifes do understand to a point
just as a side bar
I just asked my 7 yro old what i do for a job and he said a "computerist"
heh.
I asked did he know what a network was and he did not know .
So I asked him what the internet was and he says a bunch of servers.
So I tell OK so Daddy helps build the internet.
Ok says the 7 yro then you build servers ?
Think it's time for the kids to meet Mr. Ping and the network neighborhood
