Daniel,
In defence of our local Cisco office, I've watched our tiny office grow from a 1997
staff compliment of one (Account Manager), to the whopping grand total of five of
today. I've seen Gerry do many extra-curriculur presentations to help people
understand Cisco's marketplace offerings, even when he's about to drop from exhaustion
from spending far too many nights fighting with something that SHOULD work for a
customer. I popped in to their offices yesterday because I was in the neighborhood
and needed some assurance with respect to an Cisco hardware issue that didn't concern
them. Gerry dropped everything he was doing, checked on the status of the TAC case,
and put my mind at ease. They're great guys. Hopefully now that Darryl's on board
(Darryl's VERY knowledgeable about Cisco) Gerry's load will lighten substantially.
When you're drop dead tired, you're not always at your best--but I've watched their
interaction with all sorts of Cisco customers (small and large) and hav!
e seen the guys try and be as accommodating as possible.
I'm hoping that in an upcoming CertificationZone white paper, I'll be able to formally
thank Gerry and Wayne (from the Calgary office) for all the Cisco User Group seminars
they've put on through the years. They've played a major role in helping me bring up
my knowledge level of Cisco, and stay interested because they're always presenting
something new.

PS. I have no intention of ever working for Cisco in Alberta. (-: And I **KNOW**
those guys are too busy to read this! (-: (-:
