I have had lots of success with autonegotiate! 2 weeks ago, one of our
pretty experienced engineers couldn't get a consistent connection up between
2 switches. I told him to turn off autonegotiate and pick speed 100, and he
worked just fine!

Tongue in cheek humor... my success has been not using it. ;-)

I'm not a switch guru, but the times I have had to deal with them I have
never had any luck with autonegotiate. Whether it's Cisco to Cisco or
Cisco
to another item, such as a packet shaper.

I too would like to know if anyone has had success with autonegotiate.

Chris

Somebody must think so. All the vendor switch products seem to use this
as
the default nowadays.
