i think he said config. that goes to nvram
not ios if he didn't have enough room to load two images he could erase the
old. that goes to flash
i believe there is a difference
every time the router recycles the image loads but probaly all his config
changes go away (i.e. ip addr)
I think you may have some bad memory spence
