Besides that, once you start using a Terminal Server you just can't go back
to working without one in your lab. If you haven't used one, imagine having
a remote control to move the cable between console ports. Trust me, you'll
like it...

You need to learn how to do reverse telnet from a Cisco router. This will
allow you to connect to multiple devices while being vty'ed or console'ed
into a router. It is not that you need to be local, but it comes in handy
if you have a remote router that has a modem and it is AUX-CON cabled to
another router. This way you can manage multiple devices with one modem.
p.s. You may need to know it for the CCIE Lab.
