All you have to do to do NetBIOS over the internet is either use WINS or reference the share by IP address, assuming you are using either NT or Win2K.
For instance, from a command prompt: net use X: \\123.123.123.123\C$ /user:ntdomain\ntusername Thththththats all folks.
