Yeah Kris you are right. I lost about $120 on the CID and got angry.
Because of this, I converted a $500,000 Cisco network into a $300,000
Foundry network and my customer is really happy about it. ;-) I wasn't
angry that I failed the test. It is acceptable. However, a 0% in
security!?!?!?! That got me angry. I could understand 50% or even 33%
but 0% is just impossible for me to accept and not only once but twice!

Pointed said, if Cisco asks me stupid questions on a tests that I think
are ridiculous and I lose money on it, I will simply stop promoting Cisco
networking equipment to customers. Although I have to admit that I kept
all of the Cisco PIXs in the network because I like Cisco's security
support a lot more vs Checkpoint which is absolutely terrible, and Cisco
tests along with their books properly reflect reality. FW-1 has 0 offical
books and that test was Voodoo! That was a pure" memorize and just answer
as they want only" kind of test.

What can I say than that I don't like tests which seem to promote training
courses. I liked the CCIE writtens because, yeah, all of that was
techology and concepts that engineers should know everyday and if I don't
know it and got it wrong it was because I didn't study enough and should
have studied. No complaints. I went home and reopened Doyle with a
Latte. What I learned for the test was used in real life. A win win
situation.

I can simply say that I felt the CID was badly written, the grammar was
bad, and I didn't leave the test with a conviction that I needed to study
more as I did with most of the other Cisco Tests which I respect. It was
more like, "Damn... was that the rough draft or something? What's up? Can
they write a test for 2002 vs like 1997??" I personally like that Cisco
is rewriting the tests. Good for them! I use DSL, MPLS, IPSec, Optical,
SSL, PKI, QoS, IDS, 802.11...etc daily in a multi-protocol setting. If I
don't have to know SNA, X.25, IPX, Apple, and any network speed under a T1
then I would be happy because it represents my reality and the common
internetworking environment environment.

Its the cost! here here..
In any case, the exam is fairly straight forward and basic, I wouldnt pass
a
student if he scored 1% below the pass, because its clear that he doesn't
know the work.

If he scored 95% and was debating a answer, I'd be more inclinded to hear
what he has to say.

Cisco answer, or no answer. If you've done the CCNA/DA/DP/NP You should
know
this by now.

Cheers all!
