What says that? I could imagine a problem of trying to redistribute a static
route into a classful routing protocol such as RIP or IGRP if the static had
a longer prefix for the same major network that is in the RIP or IGRP
domain...

I don't think you would have a problem redistributing into OSPF in this case
though. You might have to add the subnet keyword though.

Of course, redistribution has all sorts of issues. See the messages from
Chuck, the Long and Winding Road, or, as I know him, The Redistribution
King. :-)

Anyway, the proof is that it works in your case! That's good to hear.
