No. As mention of Werner and Danai, you cannot embed TTF directly into ps file. > In addition, I have learned that the latest pdftex has correct the bug of > "[ #592 ] TrueType Font can't be embedded",you can see the URL: > > http://sarovar.org/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=592&group_id=106&atid=493, This is another issue. Your TTF may not have new OS/2 table. You need not upgrade your pdftex. > and you also can download the latest beta > version:pdftex-1.40.0-beta-20060906.tar.bz2 from the URL: > http://sarovar.org/download.php/1073/pdftex-1.40.0-beta-20060906.tar.bz2, > But I can't compile it correctly ,so I can test the ttf-embedding with > it,can you try the compile and installation of it? > I want to know how can I install it successfully? So that I can embed ttf > in it derectly! If your pdftex can do what you want, then you need not upgrade it before you have much skill to compile pdftex and install it. pdftex can embed TTF into pdf file directly. But you cannot use two TTF(for example, Sun-ExtA.ttf + Sun-ExtB.ttf) in the same LaTeX/CJK font name to embed it. That's why I told you to use Type 1 subfonts(Sun-ExtA + Sun-ExtB use the same CJK font name, for example, `sunsong'). And you cannot merge Sun-ExtA.ttf + Sun-ExtB.ttf to one TTF, the reason is the limit of max glyph number of one TTF(< 65536).
