> Do I add this somehow in my .emacs?
Since I prefer the 12x24 bitmap fonts from the `intlfonts' package,
I've set them up in my .emacs as follows, together with some other
things:
(defvar fontset-24
"-*-fixed-medium-r-*-*-24-*-*-*-*-*-fontset-24")
; I no longer can remember what this line is good for...
(setq standard-display-table (make-display-table))
(setq scalable-fonts-allowed nil)
; this is redundant since it is on by default
(utf-translate-cjk-mode t)
; set up the default size, position, and font of the default frame
(setq default-frame-alist
'((width . 100) (height . 39)
(left . 0) (top . 0)
(vertical-scroll-bars . right)
(font . "fontset-24")))
If you just want to set up a particular font for a particular
encoding, please contact an Emacs forum since I can't help further.

Hmm. `vietnamese-viscii-upper' is missing, I think

Please ask your question in an Emacs forum.

Does
; for clipboard activities with mozilla
(setq x-select-request-type 'UTF8_STRING)
in your .emacs file help? Otherwise you should again contact an Emacs
forum...
