After reading Sean's thoughtful off-list remarks, I think it's worth commenting on my previous remarks. I don't think it matters whether I understand people's reasons. People may have their own personal reasons for not wanting to answer demographic questions, and I accept that, don't object to it, and am open to supporting it.
