But in all seriousness, the industry is as it is right now & I always come back to my guideline when choosing a solution, which is, "The best solution for the job at the right price."
This is all of course based on the level of knowledge (information) & wisdom (ability to use the knowledge) of the decision maker & their level of comfort/ignorance/security/confidence/etc.
And until someone is shown a different (not necessarily better or worse) way to do things, they are likely to stick with what they know, even to their detriment. Example: Eating every meal at McDonald's because it is the most prevalent restaurant even though their is a nutritionist & health food store next door.
