According to the RAI you DO count fluids intermittent meds are mixed in . Look at page 3-153 of the RAI - section K5a. It plainly says that this includes IV fluids in IV piggybacks.

If you have someone receiving IV ABT for example ampicillin that is mixed with 250 ml of fluid and no other IV fluids are being administered, do you count this in Sec K? 
Our dietician says you do not count it in Sec K. 
Could someone please clarify.
