I guess one thing that bugs me is the 2nd generation of C&C designs REALLY stood out. The old Corvette style boats were (and are) nice boats, but they did look fairly similar to some other designs. The 30, 35, and 39 that followed around 1970 or so stood out like a Ferrari in a parking lot full of Pintos. I guess designs now are optimized to where if the 30 didn't look like any number of 30-something racers and the 41 didn't have the wide stern twin wheel look no one would buy them.
