When I first bought my boat and pulled into the dock boat crashed into bulkhead. Turned out the thread on the transmission cable unthreaded from the connecter at the transmission. No matter how much I tightened the lock nut is worked its way out. Finally I put lock tight on the thread and it has held though replacement of the cable and threaded arm would be a more permanent solution. Jerry. C & C. 27V J & J.
