Hi Alan, I am having trouble understanding your description. I assume the first step with the pattern bit is to cut out the new window and the second step is to remove the old window. If this is true, then I am concerned about controlling the router in the second step so as not to damage the area around the old window. Is your old window recessed as mine is?
